Cinco de Mayo，西班牙语叫五月五日，是个墨西哥的节日，为了纪念1862年5月5日萨瓦格萨将军带领的墨西哥军队在普埃布拉城战胜法国人的入侵。而墨西哥的国庆节却是9月16日，为纪念1810年9月16日伊达尔戈发动的反对西班牙殖民统治的独立战争。
